Incubi are BORN. In history, all incubi that were not one of the originals were the product of one supernatural parent (the incubus or succubus) and a non-supernatural parent (a human). As generations continued, the incubi were able to mate within their own species. While most incubus and succubus children are the product of only one supernatural parent, two does occur. Incubi are unable to mate with purebred werewolves successfully; however, the incubus or succubus could have hybrid children if the werewolf comes from a werewolf heritage, but does not possess any of the werewolf abilities themselves. This is very rare and has only been seen in a few cases worldwide.

This is the secret to immortality. Incubi feed on the CHI of human souls. CHI is a human's life force. The most successful taking of CHI comes from sexual intercourse. Incubi can also enjoy human cuisines, but it does not sustain them. Chi can also be obtained from werewolves and witches, but humans are easier targets. Feeding usually kills the human, and incubi have a hard time controlling their hunger. Werewolves and witches are more likely to survive an incubus or succubus feeding.
*Chi is sexual energy/life force that can only be consumed through sexual intercourse or sexual contact and sexual stimulation.
* Females tend to be more aggressive and effective than males.

The species is "immortal". The average incubus or succubus is only a couple hundred years old (100-800 years old). The incubi didn't start expanding their species until around the 15th century. Incubi that do not feed on human/werewolf/witch chi do not achieve immortality. Incubi that refuse to feed on chi will die of old age. The chi is what keeps them young.

These demons have beating hearts. Blood runs through their veins. They are killed as an ordinary living creature would be killed. Their strength, cunning, and lack of aging (immortality) make this task a little more difficult.

For centuries the incubi have been perfecting genetic modification in felines and avians. While the process is not exclusive to other mammals, the incubi are gravitated towards these subspecies. In direct relationship to the incubi's hatred of wolves, incubi relate more closely to feline characters. Large breeds of cats are particularly receptive to the incubi race. Over generations of bonding and experimenting, a clever incubus was able to find a way to ease a wild feline into a domestic breed. While the training process for these creatures is intense and overwhelming, it is equally gratifying. It is not very often that one will see an incubus or succubus with a feline companion for it takes years of dedication to gain the animal's trust and learn to control it's savage tendencies. But for those that do, they are a fearful source indeed.
