His conscious sometimes does remind him that anything beyond friends is probably not good in their positions, but he is glad she has so much control because he is quite sure his resolve would crumble is she showed the least bit of interest in him.

CHAPTER ONE:
AN OBSCURE BEGINNING
Michael was born in a small rural town in Ireland, to a large and relatively poor family. Being poor never bothered him as a child, he had many siblings and they were a tight knit bunch. His father was German and his mother was Irish. When he was still a child though the fighting in that part of Ireland became very dangerous, the political atmosphere was volatile and the family decided to leave Ireland. They found their safe haven in England, in another rural area. It never matter much to Michael as long as they were all together. He was a happy and easy going child.
As a teenager he started working odd jobs to help support his large family. He worked many different jobs, physical labor didn't bother him but he found he excelled best in jobs that were in service. Perhaps because he had such an outgoing and charismatic personality he worked well with people. He loved people. He was sociable, and he also began a lifelong habit of chasing girls. Through his different jobs, he came in contact with all sorts of women, no one was off limits to his young and fervent mind.
CHAPTER TWO:
UNLEASH THE GUERIN
In his late teens Michael landed a job working for a wealthy family in London, he worked as a footman and he loved every minute of it. He worked in the service of a rich and rather spoiled family but he didn't care, he was payed well and it brought him into contact with wealthy high profile people. It brought high class and expensive woman into his world, and he didn't mind at all. By his late 20's Michael moved to London and worked with several wealthy families and learned as much as he could. He started working as a butler and in his spare time he hobnobbed with the elite in the town. But he didn't forget about his family, he sent them money when he could and helped his younger siblings get out into the world.
Michael eventually moved to America, where there was high demand for service people. Many English men and woman traveled to America to serve wealthy landowners, in large and beautiful estates. They were always looking for the best people to hire for whatever position and Michael was the best at what he did. He found a family, the Quintons, they were a rowdy bunch, a large family that reminded him of his own, it was perfect. The wife was sweet, the father was a good man, and the children were precocious and amusing. Then tragedy stuck when the father got sick and things started to change. Michael Quinton ended up committing suicide which utterly shocked Michael. He stuck it through with the family though, and moved with them to a new place, a new home, the Ramsay House. To Michael the old house is full of new possibilities, it just might be the new beginning they all need.

~He's had several "girlfriends" in the past, but he's never been married and has fathered no children.
~Ironically, Michael is a skeptic. He doesn't believe in ghosts or an afterlife. He is an atheist.
