The Cromwell house was never one or other; it was this and that and all and none and sometimes same and sometimes different. What mattered not were labels.
Olivia shined under that impression that she was a 'accidental miracle'. Her mother wasn't one to keep secrets from her children; Olivia knew that her mother and father weren't married. She knew that she was the reason they stayed together and the reason they fell so deeply in love. That's why she was called a 'miracle' because she brought her mother and father closer instead of further apart.
When Olivia was little-- littler-- she travelled around town with her father... a LOT! Victoria was a working mother; she was a teacher, which didn't seem like much, but she loved her career and she loved her life so Olivia's father took the children. He was a stay-at-home dad and Olivia spent the entirely of her toddler life in his arms. He loved taking her out to shops and adventures that her mother might not have approved of; but Olivia and Matthew loved every minute of that life. Every second of that adventure... Every moment until the moment that Matthew disappeared from the Cromwell life.

He had an American accent and he talked with American speak. Or slang as her mother called it. It was funny to hear him speak. Not that he ever came to visit. Andrew Cromwell hated visiting the family, least of all his own son. He thought that Matthew was far too foolish and reckless; he preferred Victoria Ainsworth over his own son most of the times, which is the only reason he had for ever visiting them.
When Matthew Cromwell disappeared, Victoria went looking for answers. "He would just disappear," Olivia would protest until her mother moved them to the Americas to look for him. She believed that something in her lover's past was drawing him back to his father's birthplace. They arrived in Newton, Georgia out of shear luck and her mother found a job at The Ramsay House, where once a prominent family ruled over a small American country town. But now... it was just old bricks and chandeliers that no longer held any living laughter. Except for when the Quinton's arrived...
