(The Incubi)
Lilith: Mother of Demons
Before there was Eve, there was Lilith. The first wife of Adam is seldom mentioned. She refused Adam's advances and instead fell for the charming serpent called "Lucifer". Her romance with the Devil produced the first known demons the Underworld. Hell welcomed home seven deadly demons that colloquially became known as the incubi. Lilith herself was granted eternal life and she became the first "succubus", a demon that fed on the life force of a human being or chi.
Her children went on to explore the world above. Her demons, while charming, were terrors. They spread their demon seed across the world, mating with humans. More incubi started to spring up across the Middle East. While most returned to Hell to be with their master, some remained on Earth to create their own paths. Some mated with other humans, while other mated with other incubi. The purity of their blood was determined by who they procreated with. However, the only true "pure" incubus or succubus is that of the originals or Lilith's children.
Perhaps the most adventurous, daring of all Lilith's children was Cassius. He had his own idea of how to rule the world above, and he sought to create his own following of humans and supernaturals alike. He liked the power. He liked the control. He settled in Baskerville, a town known for its supernatural residents, and started to cultivate his own regime. Humans seeking immortal favors or incubi's seeking his protection came to this town and bent the knee to their new master.
Hybrids are very rare. Being natural enemies, the werewolves and the incubi don't mate. However, there are cases of hybrid children being born across the world. Most are killed because they are perceived as a 'threat' to both races, but those that survived remain hidden and can camouflage in other faction while never truly belonging to either.
A horde of incubi demons are called 'incubi', but the singular derivative is "incubus" for the male species and "succubus" for the female species. A horde of only female demons is called "succubi".
Lilith's Children (The Original Demons): Azael, Daruka, Cassius, Sammael, Naamah, Mazikeen, Hanna
