The Chapel is a private residence for the coven members of the Cove of Roses. It is owned by the highest ranking regime member and is always open to a member of the coven. It once was the personal estate of Devona BellRose and her family before her. It's been in the coven for generations and is protected by numerous spells and guarded heavily. All who enter here are safe and under the care of the coven.* * * *- front exterior - - living room - - kitchen - - coven library - - hidden spell room (attic) -

The ride home was awkward. Both Jack and Madeline were irritated-- mad-- infuriated with Bonnie. It was true, they had every to be upset with her; but Bonnie didn't care much for the repercussions of her actions.
The Bellamo's had a lot to take care of before they could settle in this town. The first was taking care of Devona's estate. It was still owned by them, but Jack didn't want to move his family into the house so he opted to have it as an open sanctuary for the witch coven.
Bonnie was the first out of the car when they pulled up and the first in the house. It was empty. Eerie. "Well... this is going to be fun." She rolled her eyes involuntarily. This whole town was becoming much more work than she bargained for. Addressed: Jack, Madeline Mentioned: devona tags: Alec Piper

NOBODY NORMAL EVER ACCOMPLISHED ANYTHING MEANINGFUL IN THIS WORLD BEING A FREAK IS THE BEST! I'M A FREAK...
addressed:Bonnie mentioned:jack, devona tags: Ellie Alec Madeline was grateful for the silence. She had a few choice words for her sister, but she chose to spare her father the bitch fight. It was Bonnie's fault that Madeline was in trouble and it was Bonnie's fault that their father was fuming.
Neither of the sisters had been to the house. Supposedly, their father had spent time here in his youth; but much had changed since his last visit to Baskerville. Devona's estate was well kept. The grass was a little tall and the windows were a little dusty, but otherwise--
The door slammed shut. Bonnie was the first out of the car and the first through the door. Madeline jumped to be second. She wanted to reach her sister before her father did.
"Well... this is going to be fun." Bonnie's gaze roamed around the room.
Madeline came up behind her, shoved her, and snapped: "You owe me an apology." Her voice was hushed. She didn't want her father to hear her. "Sisters don't--" She stopped herself because whatever sisters did or didn't do, Bonnie did the opposite.

"I owe you an apology?" She spun to face Madeline. Surprised, Bonnie wanted to slap her.
"Sisters don't--" Madeline stopped. Bonnie waited.
Once upon a time, Bonnie held this kid in her arms as she ran down the stairs of their "happy" suburban home. She was thirteen when Jack finally grew a pair and got them the hell away from their mother. Thirteen, clutching a toddler to her chest, Bonnie ran from her own mother.
Perhaps there was a little resentment.
Now that toddler was several inches taller than her and getting feistier with age. Bonnie didn't like it. "Listen kid, you know what sisters do? They protect each other and I'm getting really tired of always having to protect you and your delicate feelings. You're not a baby, anymore."

Jack wasn't so thrilled to be here, either. He could tell that his daughter were in distress, but that didn't excuse their behavior from before. Instead of having the 'dad lecture', he decided to ignore it until later. It made for a very awkward car ride to Devona's estate.
When they got to the house, Bonnie leapt out of the car. He thought maybe she was avoiding him. Madeline was soon at her heels. Those two were at each other's throats again, he just knew it!
Jack laid back. His head hurt. He was exhausted from the all the funeral preparations. He felt like leaving, driving down the road and leaving his two girls there to sort it out for themselves; but Jack was a better father than that (or so he liked to think), so he got out of the car and followed their voices into one of the rooms.
He caught the back end of the conversation. Clearing his throat, Jack announced his arrival. "What's going on here?" He looked to Madeline for answers. She was more likely to be honest with him.

"I owe you an apology?" Bonnie was defensive.
Feelings were more complicated than what was seen on the surface. Madeline learned from an early age that her family was full of secrets. Those secrets made them bitter, fearful, and a little outrageous.
"You do. Today was important." She spoke softly, meekly.
Madeline felt her heart drop into her stomach. The pounding seemed endless. The silence was deafening. She didn't know how to respond, what would ease the tension or break it. She knew her father and her sister protected her, but she wished they would just let her in.
Her dad entered the room. He begged the question and Madeline looked to Bonnie. She felt all that hurt and anger boil in her brain. She scoffed.
"No," she admitted. Her voice was still soft, but growing. "You're right. I'm not a baby, anymore, so maybe you and dad need to stop treating me like one. I deserve to know the truth and I deserve a little respect."
She looked to her father and then left the room without another word. She was tired of playing these witchy games.
Tell me what's going on. She prayed to herself. Tell me the truth. It was a wishful thought that was never granted. No matter how many times she begged for it.

I'ma lil' messed up But I can hide it when I'm all dressed up
Today was important. It was important to show that the witches were weak and that the alliance that Devona created with the werewolves was still in their control. Madeline didn't know their histories-- how could she understand what's important and what's not? No one had ever told her...
Bonnie almost felt that guilt, but she shook it off. It was wasn't worth her sweat. Didn't matter, now, because Jack came into the room. He heard them arguing and thought that his peacemaking skills were needed.
There were a few things about Bonnie and Madeline's relationship that worked. They both hid things their dad-- their dissipating relationship being one of them; though, who were they fooling? They were never that close for something to be "dissipating".
A little outburst was not uncommon. Bonnie let Madeline's words roll off her back. Again, it wasn't worth her sweat. The little witch stormed off.
Jack looked to Bonnie to which she responded with a shrug. "Well, if she's not staying then I'm certainly not."
Bonnie brushed her hands over one of the boxes. Dust kicked up into the air. She coughed. "I'll see you at home."
She casually walked past her father and out of the house. She didn't need to stay for anything else. If Jack wanted to hunt her down, he could, but that wasn't really his style.
