One day a flood of people came to the ER, they were people that were injured from a terrorist bombing at a public building downtown.  As more and more people poured in with injuries and the story was all over the news, Grayson grew more and more angry.  People died too, and it was all because of some bad people. After that Grayson decided to enlist in the army, after training he was deployed to Afghanistan where he served almost two tours of duty.  Before the end of the second year Grayson found himself in an army vehicle with his fellow soldiers doing a routine stop. The vehicle hit a road bomb and Grayson and the others were thrown from the vehicle due to the blast.  When his ears stopped ringing and his vision cleared, Grayson realized many of his comrades were dead. He heard some groans nearby indicating that at least someone else was still alive, but just then enemy soldiers showed up, three of them, and proceeded to shoot the one who was still alive. They went around checking the other bodies, intent on finishing off anyone still alive and Grayson saw one look over at him and start to approach.  In that moment Grayson felt his pulse racing and his body heating up, he felt the beast inside trying to claw it's way to the service with the threat of death looming overhead.  It was pure survival instinct. And Grayson didn't fight it. He fazed, bursting through his uniform and shocking the soldier who had a gun trained at his head. In the space of a heartbeat Grayson had dispatched the man. Then he disappeared around the vehicle as the other two men started screaming and firing wildly in his direction. As he rounded the vehicle he heard the bullets hit the side of the truck. The men whirled around but they were too slow, the beast was a whirlwind and was upon them before they could blink.  Grayson only saw red and he ripped the men apart before he took off into the nearby wilderness.  When he had control of himself again, he fazed back to a human and took some clothes off a dead man's body, and returned to camp as the only survivor of the attack.  He had been wounded by the blast, not life threatening thanks to the strength of the werewolf. Grayson was discharged from the military and sent home as a hero. He received a medal, for courage under fire, but Grayson only ever felt like a fake.  He received praise everywhere he went back home, but deep down he felt guilty for surviving when the others died. It was all due to his werewolf side, and even though he killed bad men, when he remembered ripping them apart he only saw himself as a monster.
